Ontario Government Considers Review of Preferential Condo Sales

Here we go, now the government wants to try to tell an individual how they can sell their property. In a democracy, a property owner can choose to sell or not sell for any reason of their choosing. The reason can be totally arbitrary and it is no one’s business. Developers can sell to who they like and unless the buyers are involved in crime it is of no one’s business. What should be looked at is the practice of real estate brokers ‘falsely promoting’ that they have some special affiliation or connection to a developer or development. This ‘false promotion’ alludes to special pricing and access. This in turn lures buyers with false expectations based on false information. This practice is misleading and dishonest and need to be stopped.
